Smoothies
Smoothies are a great way to add extra fruits, vegetables, fibre and protein to your diet. Having chopped, frozen fruits and vegetables, and nuts and seeds on hand make smoothies a quick, simple, healthy snack or meal to enjoy at home or on-the-go. Here are a few of my favourites.

Handful of kale

1 tbsp flax meal
1/2 tbsp chia seeds
1 scoop vanilla protein powder
1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk (or other nut milk)
1 cup water
Place everything in a blender and mix well. Top with granola and dark chocolate, if desired, and enjoy!

Handful of spinach
1/4 cup plain Greek yogurt
