Chocolate Cranberry Muffin Pan Bites

No-bake healthy snacks that take less than 15 minutes to make are definitely my favourite type of snack. Even more so in the summer, when I don't want to turn the oven on! Protein bites are typically my go-to for this type of snack. So, lately, to change things up a bit, instead of rolling my protein bites into balls, I've been flattening them out by pressing them into a muffin pan, and I love them this way! There's just something about changing the shape of a snack that can make it taste a little different, or sometimes even better! And, Chocolate Cranberry is definitely a great flavour combination.

Ingredients:

1 1/2 cups oats

1/2 cup all-natural almond butter (or all-natural peanut butter)

1/3 cup real maple syrup

2 tbsp chia seeds

2 tbsp cacao powder

1/4 cup dried cranberries

Directions:

Mix all of the ingredients together by hand until well blended. Roll into 1-inch balls, then press into an ungreased muffin pan and flatten. Store in the freezer for about 30 minutes to set. Remove from freezer, and each bite should pop out easily. Store in an air-tight container in the fridge for up to one week, or in the freezer for up to two months. Also, you can try adding in other ingredients such as pumpkin seeds, flax meal, shredded coconut, or dark chocolate chips. Enjoy!
